Jessica Alba, born in 1981, is an American actress best known for her roles in Dark Angel, Sin City, Fantastic Four and Into the Blue.
This stunning beauty wasn't also the picture-perfect woman she is today. During her early life Alba suffered a multitude of illnesses, but she seems to have pulled through beautifully, to say the least.
Alba first expressed interest in acting when she was just five years old, and was signed with an acting agent at age 12. Her first film appearance was in 1994's Camp Nowhere. She has appeared in TV commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penney, and had a recurring role in three episodes of the Nickleodeon show "The Secret World of Alex Max."
Alba studied acting with William H. Macy and his wife, Felicity Huffman, at the Atlantic Theater Company.
She was named as one of the 25 Sexiest Celebrities by Playboy magazine, and she appeared on the March 2006 cover. She was involved in litigation against the magazine for its use of her image without her consent. She claimed that the photo implied that she was featured in the magazine in a nude pictorial. Hugh Hefner issued a formal apology to Alba and agreed to donate money to two charities supported by her.
In 2006, readers of Askmen.com voted Jessica Number 1 on her 99 Most Desirable Women, and in 2007 Maxim Magazine voted her number 2 on their Top 100.
