American heartthrob Kanye Omari West was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 8, 1977. A celebrated record producer and rapper West has given several hit albums including the College Dropout and Late Registration. He is also a proud owner of a record label a GOOD Music.
Kayne was brought up in Chicago, where his mother Dr. Donda West was a chair of the English Department at Chicago State University, after his parents divorce. After retirement, she serves as Kanye's manager. Kayne attended Columbia College Chicago, however dropped out early to get on with a career in music. He produced a number of hit singles for major hip hop/R&B artists, including Jay-Z, Eminem, Janet Jackson, Lupe Fiasco, The Game, Alicia Keys, Common and John Legend.
Typically, West's style of production associated pitched-up vocal samples that were normally from soul songs, using his own instruments and drums. His original song using vocal samples was a track from Jay-Z's The Dynasty: Roc La Familia "This Can't Be Life". His music was greatly acclaimed in Jay-Z's critically approved album The Blueprint, released on September 11, 2001.
West's claim to fame was release of his second album Late Registration on 30 August 2005. The reviews in Spin September 2005, suggested Late Registration was his indisputable triumph, somewhat comparable to West's ego. Created out of the help of producer samples, the compositions was a perfect blend of strings and other sounds.

Alioune Thiam or popularly known as Akon is a Singalese-American hip-hop artist, R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is the son of jazz percussionist, Mor Thiam. Akon grew up in Senegal and moved between Senegal and the U.S. until his family permanently settled in New Jersey, when he was fifteen. It was at this age Akon recorded his first song, "Operations of Nature".
He went to jail under the charges of drug distribution and armed robbery. While in prison, he worked on his music. Soon after he was released, Akon started writing and recording tracks in his home studio. The tapes were send to SRC/Universal which released Akon's debut record Trouble in June 29, 2004. It included the hit singles "Lonely" and "Locked Up" along with others such as "Pot Of Gold", "Belly Dancer (Bananza)" and "Ghetto". "Locked Up" inspired by his term in jail, found way to the top 10 in the U.S. and the top five in the UK. Where "Ghetto" became a radio hit after being remixed by Green Lantern.
In 2005, Akon released the single "Lonely". It was an instant hit climbing to the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in Australia, Germany and the UK. Akon's "Lonely" was the longest running single on the top of The Box's (music channel) chart, calculated based on amount of video requests, reigning the charts for fifteen weeks.
In November 14 2006, Akon released his sophomore album titled Konvicted. The album involved collaboration of Snoop Dogg, Styles P and Eminem.
In late 2005, his long time friend and manager Robert Montanez, who Akon referred to as a brother, was killed; the album Konvicted is dedicated to him. Akon released the single "Smack That", which featured Eminem, in August 2006. In September 2006, the second single of Konvicted "I Wanna Love You" was released and it topped the U.S. charts for two consecutive weeks...

"He ain't going nowhere... he can't be stopped cos he's bad boy for life." He was J Lo's boyfriend for quite a time (lucky wretch) and was a Grammy Winner. And to all the women celebs who find it a fashion to run a clothing line, he's no lesser. In fact, he's unmatchable with two restaurants, one record label and two clothing lines to his credit.
Yes of course we're talking about yet another celebrity whose real name is so much less popular in the world of showbiz - Sean John Combs a.k.a. Puff Daddy (which later got ghetto-morphed into P.Diddy). By Ghetto, here we only mean the ebony paradise and not a slum ambiance for this much-under-criticism Hip-hop legend is worth USD350 million or more with a list of achievements which can tread as long as the controversies do. Allegations of links with Mafia, assault of a production house staff and more hullabaloos only made him all the more popular as a performer. His ex-girlie Kim Porter, already a mother of a son through Al B Sure, delivered off twin girls. P Diddy has a son through an earlier relationship with Misa Hylton-Brim. Sure, his children and her children will be playing with their children.
By the way, no prizes for guessing the first line of this write-up is from a song featuring this living Gift to the world of Music. Yea... that's the same song featuring Ben Stiller at the climax of the video.
